Long Term Care Insurance
Long Term Care Insurance policies will reimburse policyholders a daily benefit amount (up to a limit). This insurance is designed to cover long-term services for personal and custodial care to assist the policyholder with their activities of daily living. Many long-term care policies have limits on how much or how long they will pay. If you are unsure of your policy details, our experts can help. We offer courtesy insurance reviews to help you better understand your policy details. We will also assist you with opening a claim towards your care services

Ways To Cover Cost
Permanent and Whole Life Insurance Policies
If you are a policyholder of a permanent or whole life insurance policy, you can borrow from the policy for access to cash in hand to assist with paying for your home care needs.
Life Settlements
Seniors have taken advantage of the opportunity to sell an existing insurance policy to a third party for a one-time cash payment. This lump sum payout allows the senior to apply those monies towards their home care needs.
Private Pay
Seniors pay for their home care services from their own resources.
Reverse Mortgage
A reverse mortgage is a mortgage loan offered to homeowners aged 62 and older, that allows a senior to turn equity in their home into cash on hand. This is an option that is widely used by seniors to offset their home care costs.
Veteran Benefits
Do you know that if you are a veteran who served active duty for at least 90 days and one full day during a time of war, and you find yourself in need of home care assistance with your activities of daily living, you may qualify for Aid and Attendance benefits? We can refer you to an accredited veteran agent who can assist you with the application process.
Please note:
Self Care health Service cannot assist you with Medicaid or Medicare and cannot refer caregivers to you under either of those programs.
Senior-Placement Referrals
There are times when the need arises for seniors to seek residence in a senior living facility. In these moments, Self Care Health Services can assist. We can refer you to an expert placement agent, who can make the process of choosing an appropriate senior living a positive experience. The following describes different types of senior living facilities.
Independent Living
A maintenance-free private residence for seniors, with a full range of amenities allowing independent living. This type of senior living does not offer custodial or medical assistance. However, a senior typically is permitted to bring in the services from a provider of their choice.
Assisted Living
A senior living community that offers support to seniors requiring minimal care with their activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing, grooming and more).
Memory Care
Memory care facilities offer a safe living environment for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or Dementia. These types of facilities provide 24-hour care support for seniors in need. To prevent clients from wandering off premises, these facilities are locked for patient safety.
